Ensuring the safety of the students is our number one priority. Nearly every year we use emergency bus routes, or cancel school because snow or other poor weather conditions make roads unsafe. We encourage you to become familiar with the procedures followed during snow, inclement weather and emergencies.
Emergency bus stops are designed to avoid areas where hazardous road conditions exist. Buses will typically not travel on side streets when emergency routes are in effect. Click here for the 2019-2020 Emergency Bus Routes. If you have questions, please contact your bus driver or Mr. Dean at 217-457-2281 x1025 or at adean@triopiacusd27.org
Pre-K routes will stay the same, provided the bus is able to make the stop. If it is not safe getting to the regular stop, your bus driver will provide you with information regarding where your stop will be located. For additional information, call the Grade School office at 217-457-2281 x1030.
We make every attempt to keep to our pick-up schedule on time, but delays may occur with snow and icy roads. Students should be dressed warmly (coat, hat, gloves, waterproof boots or shoes) in case they need to wait at their stop for the bus to arrive. If your children are in need of warm clothing or shoes, please contact Mrs. Hobrock at 217-457-2281 x1032 or Mr. Sorrells at 217-457-2281 x1022.
